1st Grose Vale Scout Group was formed on the 27th February 1980.

At that time we were based at the old school house on Community Hall Road at Grose Vale.

With the closure of 1st Kurrajong Scout Group, the expanding group moved the Cub Section into Mill Road, Kurrajong.

In 2018, the Group completely moved into Mill Road, Kurrajong

Our scarf colours are Green and Gold stripes, on a Royal Blue scarf.

These colours were chosen for:

  • the Blue of the Hawkesbury River,

  • the Green of the green hills of the local area, and

  • the Gold of the Wattle trees native to the area.

1st Grose Vale is part of the Greater Western Sydney region, and covers a huge area from Parramatta to the Blue Mountains. The edge of our Badge is dark blue and matches our scarf background. The picture on our badge is the Waratah flower, which is also the NSW state floral emblem.
